Provincial Hunting Day was officially proclaimed in 2009, to take place on the fourth Saturday of every September. To mark the day and to celebrate the importance of our hunting heritage, a partnership committee is planning a fun-filled and informative day of “how to” hunting demonstrations and seminars, shooting stations, and informative displays on conservation, hunter education and provincial hunting regulations. The event is free to the public, and is expected to draw several hundred visitors. Click here to see the poster: ProvincialHuntingDay_Poster 2015
We are excited to deliver this event at the Winnipeg Trap and Skeet Club to incorporate safe firearm handling. There will be free shotgun shooting instruction and clay target practice on the trap and skeet range! Participants do not require any equipment and no experience is necessary. Qualified shotgun instructors will be available to all shooters!
This is a family friendly event. There will be live music in the main tent, a youth duck calling competition, game cleaning and cooking demos as well as prize draws! Did we mention that this was all free?!
Come out and celebrate with us! We hope to see you there!
