The MWF has been informed that individuals have the opportunity to voice their opinions on the newly introduced Bill 29, which focuses on night hunting and shared management. Your voice is important to help this important bill be made into law. We encourage all MWF affiliate clubs, supporting members and the general public to come to the legislature and speak in favour of the bill. This involves speaking to the Committee at the Legislature for 10 minutes. They will then have an opportunity to ask you questions for a few minutes, should they desire. The exact date has not been set yet. However, it could be as soon as next week (June 18-22). Please register by contacting the Clerk’s Office (204-945-3636). Your name will be added to the list of presenters and you will be given a minimum of 48 hours notice of the date and time. Make sure you indicate if your are coming from outside of Winnipeg, as you will be prioritized.
This is a rare and important opportunity to see the Province enact a significant and positive change in wildlife management. Your opinions and support for Bill 29 count!
