On December 11, 2024, our Senior Policy Advisor, Chris Heald, represented the Manitoba Wildlife Federation in Ottawa before the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development.
Chris delivered a powerful presentation on Bill C-73 – the Nature Accountability Act, highlighting its potential impact on natural resource management. He made a compelling case for protecting public access to natural resources for all Canadians, regardless of economic or social status.
Chris ensured that the voices of hunters and anglers were heard, raising significant concerns about how these sweeping changes could affect public access to natural resources and public lands.
