As an active member of the National Fishing and Hunting Collaborative (NFHC), the Manitoba Wildlife Federation helped develop and distribute an election questionnaire to solicit the positions from all of the major parties in the current federal election. Only one of the national parties – the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) – responded to the NFHC priorities. The Liberal Party of Canada (LPC)’s election platform contained some elements relevant to the concerns of licensed hunters, anglers and trappers.
We have attached the CPC response and relevant excerpts from the LPC platform for our membership to review, and urge you to make your voice heard.
