The Province announced a few weeks back that the Conservation Officer Service was moving from Conservation and Climate over to the Department of Agriculture and Resource Development. MWF staff participated in a stakeholder meeting to hear directly from the Minister and from Department Staff the strategic reasoning for the move. The new structure is designed so Conservation Officers can work more directly with the Fish and Wildlife Branch staff to create a more unified approach in the management and protection of our natural resources. The MWF was excited to learn that Rob Olson (former MWF Managing Director) will become the Executive Director overseeing the Fish, Wildlife and Enforcement Branches and will be reporting to Assistant Deputy Minister, Elliot Brown.
For an opportunity to learn more, please join MWF on April 22, 2021 at 7:00pm for the exclusive chance to hear Rob Olson and Earl Simmons discuss the new structure and answer questions.
