MWF Inaugural Pint Night

On April 30, 2022, MWF will be setting up at Torque Brewery in Winnipeg for an evening full of storytelling and live music. Throughout the night there will be six storytellers that will join us at the proverbial campfire to share a special outdoor experience of theirs. In addition to a few amazing stories, we will also have live music sessions from a local musician. If the cold beer and top-notch entertainment isn’t enough, there will also be a food truck set up to feed a hungry crowd, along with a couple quality prizes that will be up for grabs!

Some of our special guests that you can look forward to are Josh McFaddin and Craig Koshyk. Both Josh and Craig call Manitoba home but occupy two different spaces in the outdoor world.

Josh is well known, not only for his love for the outdoors, but also his passion for creating culinary masterpieces with wild foods. His creativity extends from simple, felicitous meals with more commonly used wild foods to first class meals made with undervalued wild foods. He frequently hosts the cooking segments for HuntFishMB. If you want to get familiar with Josh’s work you can find his latest project, Fed By Fire, on YouTube. Fed By Fire showcases a cinematic culinary experience, all done over an open flame.

Craig, on the other hand, has found his passion in the upland gamebird world focusing on upland gamebird dogs. Craig and his wife are the founders of Dog Willing Productions and are the authors of the book Pointing Dogs Volume One: The Continentals. Craig has a vast knowledge of pointing dogs, as well as the rich history of upland gamebird hunting in Manitoba. You can catch up with Craig on the Hunting Dog Confidential podcast or through many of the articles that he has published.

With these two great guests (and more), we certainly guarantee a good time will be had by all!
