Volunteer:

The Manitoba Wildlife Federation is run by volunteers. Always ready to lend a helping hand, they are rewarded with the satisfaction of knowing that they have made a difference. Volunteers are needed to help fund-raise and help on specific provincial projects or functions, and in communities across Manitoba on various conservation projects.

Become a Mentor:

Are you an experienced hunter, angler or trapper? Do you have a few hours you can spare to teach a new person about the outdoor activities you so enjoy?

Take your nephew, your aunt, your neighbour, or anyone who would like the opportunity to learn out to the lake to fish or to the woods to scout for game. You’ll be surprised at the number of people you know who don’t get an opportunity to learn about fishing or hunting. Your rewards will be great — it is often difficult to determine who has the most fun — the mentor or the “student”.

There are several organized mentored waterfowl hunts across Manitoba in September, and several Learn to Fish programs in June in Winnipeg.
